Welcome back!

There's been a break from my blog because my teachers' stay in the States came to a close. A new teacher is here! At first glance you would see a young, gentle woman with soft brown eyes and sweet smile.  But don't let her fool you. This lady is a strict teacher. After one class with Lucy, I took home a nagging reminder that I need to practice, practice, practice, every, every day. A chronic muscle spasm in my right leg didn't help my dance skills, but my new membership with a yoga studio called Ginseng should remedy matters. I'm seeking balance in a world of highways, tests and constant competition. I want to find the deeper meaning in everything. Instead of simply envisioning meditation as an abstract thing I want to do, I'm trying to go ahead and do it regularly. Meditation in cooking, planning my week, doing yoga, talking to people, everything!

I am reading a book called "Living with Joy." I'm not one for self-help books, but it's certainly helped me to refocus my inner self towards the things that matter most to me when I get distracted.

I'm beginning to think that I should have a website that has different pages...one for my recipes, one for dance stuff, and another for daily musings. We'll see.
